Living Word in the Desert is a vibrant, faith-filled community with campuses in both Indio and Desert Hot Springs, California. As a proud Foursquare Church, we are part of a global movement committed to preaching the gospel, equipping believers, and sharing the love of Jesus with the world. Our mission is to restore the hearts of people and families, create a community of authentic believers, and see our city transformed by the life-changing reality of the gospel. The Mission

The Vision

The mission of Living Word In The Desert is to passionately pursue God and people, creating a culture where lives are transformed by His presence. We are committed to equipping both ourselves and others with the unshakable truth of God’s Word—developing strong disciples who live boldly for Christ. As we grow, we embrace our God-given purpose and walk it out with clarity and conviction. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we release our gifts, callings, and creativity to impact our church, our city, and the world for the glory of God.

The vision of Living Word In The Desert is to restore the hearts of people and families by creating a community where healing, wholeness, and spiritual growth take place. We are committed to seeing lives renewed through the power of God’s love and truth, as individuals and families encounter Jesus Christ, walk in their identity, and are empowered to live out their purpose.

Our Story

In 1998, Pastors Jesse and Allie Sanchez answered God’s call to pastor a new work in the Coachella Valley. What began as a small gathering in their home in Cathedral City quickly grew into a vibrant community hungry for God’s presence.

As the church family expanded, so did the vision. In 2006, Living Word in the Desert officially opened its doors in Indio, California, now serving as our main campus. In time, God opened the door for a second campus in Desert Hot Springs, extending our reach and impact to even more families in the valley.

From humble beginnings to a thriving congregation, our mission has remained the same:
to see hearts restored, families strengthened, and our city transformed by the life-changing power of Jesus Christ.
